In 40s Hindus refused to buy oil on Diwal because it was loaded by mehtars (Dalits) (Although another reason was that the oil canisters were transported in garbage truck but in investigation it was declared that oil was safe). In 2010 Hindus in UP debarred children from schools if food would be cooked by a Dalit. These incidents shows how Hindus from time to time devoid Dalits from entering into better occupations.
